Halloween Party at school...

I'm shocked that her school does a "halloween party" at all... my friends who have school age children, their kids have a "harvest party"... the same thing w/o the costumes.

She was pretty excited to wear her costume to school that day. 15 minutes before the end of school, the parents were allowed in for the costume parade!!!
If you look closely, you can see her doing a "funny face" for the camera.

Halloween... ages 3 and 1!

She was so excited to be a princess this year, and collect candy of course. She told everyone that would listen that she got this princess dress for her birthday when her grandmas and grandpas were here and she had a princess party and she was a princess and the girls were princess and the boys were princes and kings because boys can't be princesses... etc., etc., etc., with lots of "um, um, um"s in between each word.

I had to replace her tiara with something more comfortable since she would never keep her tiara on her head, it hurt too much. I tried to explain to her that beauty had a price, but she didn't get it. So, for $1, I got some garland at Michael's and made a psuedo-tiara!!!

It was fun to wake her up early from her nap to curl her hair and use hairspray. And, the makeup!!! Purple and sparkly eyeshadow!!!

The boy was a dog! Apparently, grandma didn't want him to be the "chick" that she was when she was his age b/c she sent us this. Of course, it was super cute, especially with his huge cheeks... the droopy ears were priceless!!!

When hubby got home from work, while we were eating dinner, he asked me if he was taking sweet pea out trick or treating or if I was taking her out... I told him, uh, you're taking BOTH of them out?!!! duh... It was a wonderfully warm evening, they didn't even have to wear coats over their costumes!! In fact, Sweet Pea had on tights and leggings, and that's it (other than the t-shirt and sweater)!!!

Hubby walked around in dress pants, a tie, and a nametag that said "Dave". A few people who had seen The Office the night before laughed...
