quick update...

We went over to our neighbor's house last night to take some family pictures of them for their christmas cards. Sweet pea was in a Christmas outfit too, so we took some of her.
Here she is, playing with a mechanical santa. She calls him "bumpa" - her word for Grandpa! It's so funny!!! He sits by their front door, we walk in and she says "Bumpa!!!" and points to him until we get him down so she can play with him.
That's Jodi (Dodi...) with Sweet pea. Notice, bumpa is sitll in the background.
Just a sweet pic.
The entire family. They thought it might be funny to get Sweet Pea in a family picture and send it out to their friends. Michael is Colombian, Jodi is blond - and they have three dark haired boys! Finally, the blond little girl entered their family!!! Their friends would have been so confused!!! (they aren't sending a pic with Sweet Pea in it... just a funny story... especially since Sweet Pea has called Jodi "ma ma" more than once and quite often cries when we leave their house).

Sweet Pea's favorite thing to do right now is color. She says, "color" or "I color" all of the time. If she sees a crayon, pen, marker, or pencil she wants to color! AND, when she says "puzzle" it's so stinking funny!!! She sticks her tongue out for the z's and we all laugh. She's getting pretty good at the wooden puzzles with the pictures underneath (the ones with handles to hold onto).

We're almost ready for Christmas! I'm leaving to go back home on Sunday, Sweet pea and I are flying out there a week before hubby starts driving. All of th presents are purchased but unwrapped... Christmas cards might not make it until new year's. We'll see what we can do... no promises. I've really, really enjoyed getting pictures and letters from friends we miss so much. New births, new jobs, exciting changes and very nice stability... A letter we just got this past week from our friends that live in a frozen tundra of Canada... way up there, not Toronto or anything 'mild' that that!!! It's so fun to read about them!!! I have no concept for the cold they live in... and hubby's been complaining for two months about living here! It's 40 degrees right now!!! I think I saw buds forming on trees on saturday... yes, this is unusual, but it could be so much colder! Yes, Christmas is upon us and it's a wonderful time of year!

Well, that's it... we'll update one more time or so before leaving for the buckeye state.
