Sweet Pea and Peanut's B-day party

We're here in Ohio, with very few friends... we wondered how to celebrate the kid's birthdays?! We ended up inviting family friends over for a cookout, feeding them yummy ribs and smoked chicken, in hopes that they wouldn't mind helping us celebrate our kid's special day.
Peanut's birthday isn't until August 4th, but he isn't aware that we moved it about 4 weeks early for our own convenience!!! He just loves Boppy's (the name that Sweet Pea made up for grandpa) tractor. It's a John Deere lawn mower and my dad cannot cut the grass or start it up for any reason while Peanut is awake... he just runs to the window and yells... Boppy's Tractor... over and over again. He's sat on my dad's lap for 45 minutes while my dad cuts the grass, with no fussing or wiggling or anything. He's content as anything just riding around!!! Oh... to the point... that's why we made him a Tractor cake. He yelled, "woooowwwww" when he saw it. My mom did an amazing job!

Sweet Pea's birthday was July 1st, she LOVED having two birthdays!!! She got a princess cake, hubby's mom made for her. It was chocolate cake with pink frosting. There was half a barbie sticking out the top, with frosting for a 'shirt'.

We were all in shock when we saw her pick up the half a barbie to lick the frosting off of her... very disturbing to watch. We actually took it away... in fear of the counseling we'd be going to in future years.

The new addition to the family slept through the entire party. It was nice having so many willing arms to hold him, they just brought him to me every few hours to be fed, and he continued to be happy!!!
